2021 Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD

by Client

Overview

Although the Huracán EVO is technically Lamborghini's entry-level supercar, there is nothing basic about it. At all. As the successor to the Performante—the most powerful V10 Lamborghini model ever—the Huracán EVO's 5.2-liter engine packs a whopping 640 horsepower. With cosmetic improvements on both the interior and exterior, as well as meticulous fine-tuning of some of its best features to elevate performance, the EVO represents a full evolution of some of the most successful Lamborghinis ever made.

The Perfect Ride For...

Performance car purists, technology buffs, and those who simply love to drive will feel a spirited connection to this two-door supercar. The Huracán EVO has the exceptional ability to accurately anticipate the driver's needs and wants, then deliver with precision. Inside you’ll find breathtaking design paired with surprising technology features that will make you want to drive the Huracán EVO every single day. That's why Lamborghini decided to make a rear-wheel drive variant of this incredibly popular model. The Huracán EVO RWD speaks to the traditional enthusiast who wants to forgo the sophisticated all-wheel drive system found in all of Lamborghini's other models, for something more spirited and tail-happy. If you're a fan of the occasional controlled oversteer, then the Huracán EVO RWD was made just for you.

Drive and Handling

The Huracán EVO RWD is everything you expect a Lamborghini to be—and much, much more. The car's robust 5.2-liter V10 produces 610 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. That remarkable power propels it from 0 to 60 in about three seconds, and it hits 124 mph in just 9.3 seconds. Thank goodness for those ultra-grippy Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires and carbon-ceramic disc brakes. All that power is sent to the rear wheels, via a 7-speed Lamborghini Dual Clutch transmission. The dual-clutch transmission is capable of split-second shifts because while one gear is engaged, the next is already selected, minimizing the amount of time power isn’t being sent to the wheels.

For precision steering, which is a must-have in a car this powerful, Lamborghini employs four-wheel steering and Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS). The result is maneuverability at low speeds, and enhanced stability, response, and turn-in and high speed. Lamborghini Magneto-rheological Suspension features real-time variable damping to create a ride perfectly suited to the road ahead.

Key Features

Customization

One of the biggest draws to buying a brand-new Lamborghini is the dizzying amount of customization options. The exterior paint color alone includes more than 40 choices, from pearl to special metallic and every finish imaginable in between. Drivers can also select unique wheels, brake calipers, several aerodynamics packages, a transparent engine bonnet, and other interior materials and details. For a luxurious race feel, opt for the Carbon Skin® upholstery, a carbon fiber material available only from Lamborghini.

Lamborghini Integrated Vehicle Dynamics (LDVI)

At the technological center of the Huracán EVO is the Lamborghini Integrated Vehicle Dynamics (LDVI) system. The ultra-high-tech LDVI aims to "synchronize the brain of the car with the brain of the driver," as explained by Lamborghini Chief Technical Officer Maurizio Reggiani. The system makes minuscule adjustments to driving dynamics as much as 50 times per second.

The brain of the Huracán EVO integrates truly next-level technology into the supercar. It combines factors about the driving environment, driver behaviors — both known and anticipated, and ultra-responsive smart technology to remain one step ahead of the driver at all times. Every single aspect of the car's performance dynamics is monitored and controlled by the LDVI in real-time, enabling it to create a near-perfect driving environment.

Amazon Alexa Integration

The EVO is the first car in the world to have in-car Amazon Alexa integration that can actually help control the car itself. The 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system allows the driver to monitor and control both vehicle and entertainment functions, but spoken commands can also be used. Currently, things such as the car's climate control and lighting can be adjusted with just a few words, but deeper integration to control driving modes might be on its way.

Alternative Options

If you’re looking for a heart-stopping experience, and room for your friends to enjoy it, the Urus is the Lamborghini designed for those who want to share the unique feeling of riding in a Lamborghini. For drivers who can’t get enough, the Aventador S is your dream car, with 740 horsepower singing from a naturally aspirated V12 engine.
