Overview
It's been some twenty-five years since Lamborghini produced anything other than a fire-breathing super sportscar. 1993 saw the end of production for one of the most interesting vehicles in the company's long and storied history: the LM002 SUV. A wild departure for Lamborghini, the LM002 was a squared-off, hulking beast of a vehicle reminiscent of the HUMVEE, only with a twelve-cylinder engine under the hood and one of the coolest nicknames in the business: "Rambo-Lambo".
More than two decades on, Lamborghini reentered the performance SUV market and has done so in wild style with the stunning Urus. While different in nearly every way to its predecessor, the Urus is still imbued with that essential Lamborghini DNA found in every vehicle the company has ever made, and it makes no bones about what it is or what it's here to do.

Drive & Handling
In classic Lamborghini fashion, the Urus is motivated by a massively powerful engine. It uses a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that produces a staggering 650 horsepower and 626 lb-ft of torque, and is coupled to a quick-shifting 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. Transferring that enormous power to the pavement is an all-wheel-drive system which features torque vectoring and four-wheel steering, amidst a host of other performance systems.
The result? 60 miles-per-hour is blitzed in 3.6 seconds, and the Urus will keep running to a top speed of 189 mph. Lamborghini's focus has always been on creating some of the most extreme, engaging vehicles on the planet, and the Urus follows that formula faithfully.
Key Features
ANIMA (Adaptive Network Intelligent Management) Selector
One of the cornerstones of the Urus driving experience is Lamborghini's ANIMA electronics platform. Controlled by a selector on the steering wheel, this system gives drivers several different driving modes to choose from, including three specifically dedicated to on-road driving, and then three more modes for when the going gets rough and its time to take your Urus off the pavement.
Exterior looks
Let's be honest: the Urus is one of the most distinct and aggressive looking vehicles anywhere. There's absolutely no mistaking it for anything other than a Lamborghini. At the front, it's the wide, flat headlights with the company's trademark Y-shaped headlights and massive grille. Along the side of the Urus, there are hints of Aventador in the sharp creases and body lines. Out back, the steeply raked roof and massive quad exhaust pipes leave no doubt as to the Urus's intent.
